Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Merchant City, Glasgow, B51 proudly holds the title of Scotland’s first welded jewellery bar.

Our journey began in June 2022 at a little market stall in the iconic Barras Market, in section B, unit 51, initially selling vintage jewellery from the 1970s, 80s & 90s, discovered in a warehouse near London in December 2021. The warehouse was a hidden treasure trove of the most beautiful collection of costume jewellery originally manufactured in the UK for high end designers and stores such as Liberty of London and Frank Usher. The jewellery had been untouched since the manufacturer ceased trading in the 1990s.

It was at The Barras Market, in September 2022, that the founder Lauren Grant launched the welded bracelet bar. Lauren discovered a passion for creating unique memories with the welded pieces that celebrate individuality and personal stories! What started as a tiny venture, filled with creativity and determination, has now blossomed into a beloved destination for those seeking to express themselves through beautiful, welded jewellery.

To enable B51 to evolve, Lauren recently relocated to a gorgeous new store in Parnie Street, where she was able to add exciting new services to the business. In June 2025, B51 launched the Build Your Own Charm Bar experience, allowing you to tailor-make jewellery that reflects your personality and journey. Perfect for both groups and individuals, our BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) environment adds to the fun, making it a perfect outing for friends, family, or special occasions.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of our Engraving Bar in 2025, where you can personalise your jewellery with handwriting, photos, fingerprints and more, transforming your pieces into treasured keepsakes.
